Why This Publication Exists
Most wellness marketing aimed at older readers is written to sell first and inform second — and it often leans on fear to do it. Aging Well Post was started to do the opposite: read the current research on healthy aging, set it next to what's actually being marketed, and explain plainly where the two agree and where they don't. We cover the everyday areas that come up most as the decades add up — joint comfort, memory and focus, bone strength, sleep, heart health, vision, and everyday energy.
How We Choose What to Cover
Every guide starts from a genuinely common question or habit — the kind of thing a reader might ask a friend or bring up at a check-up — rather than from whatever a manufacturer wants promoted that month. Where solid human research exists, we lean on it directly. Where the evidence behind a popular claim is thin, early-stage, or comes only from the company selling the product, we say so plainly instead of letting a confident-sounding headline do more work than the underlying study actually supports.
We favor realistic, sustainable habits over dramatic promises. If a guide or a product review on this site sounds like it's promising an overnight transformation, that's a sign something's off with the writing, not a standard we're aiming for.
What's In Scope, and What Isn't
Aging Well Post focuses on general wellness habits and consumer products related to healthy aging — supplements, sleep and comfort products, and similar everyday items, alongside plain-language guides on the habits behind them. We aren't a medical practice, we don't diagnose or treat any condition, and nothing on this site is written or reviewed by a licensed clinician. It's meant to make you a better-informed patient and reader, not to replace a conversation with your own doctor.
Where the Money Comes From
Running an editorial site costs real time and hosting, and that's funded through affiliate relationships. Where it's relevant, we link to retailers such as Amazon and may earn a commission if you buy through one of those links, at no extra cost to you. The full details are on our Affiliate Disclosure page, but the short version is this: which products we choose to write about, and how favorably we write about them, is decided before anyone considers whether an affiliate link is attached — a commission never buys a more flattering writeup.
